Immersive Reader in Outlook

Follow this guide to find out how to use Immersive reader and make reading in Outlook easier!

Opening Immersive Reader:


In outlook, double click on your email so it opens in a new browser.


When the email is open, click on the three dots. In the drop-down menu, select 'Immersive Reader'

This will open the message up in Immersive Reader.


Click on each of the words to bring up an image that describes that word. This tool is perfect for our ESOL students.



You are also able to enlarge the text by clicking on the two 'AA' in the top right-hand corner.


Click on the green play button to read the message aloud.



Translating Messages:


To translate messages in Immersive reader, click on 'Reading Preferences'


In reading preferences, choose the language you would like to translate the email to. Then turn on 'By Document' to translate the email.
