  • How can I get support from the Learning Centre?
    You can offer support from wherever you are - at home or in college! If you are at college, then please visit your Learning Centre. There will always be a helpful and friendly member of the AskLRC team to assist you with your query. If you are at home or away from college, we also offer remote support! Please try searching this help centre for tips and guidance. If you can't find what you're looking for then please submit a help ticket or email us at: asklrc@stcg.ac.uk We will then respond to you through email when there is an update with your request.
  • What can the Learning Centre help me with?
    Your Learning Centre is here to support your learning. We offer IT support and can help you with your college systems (Moodle, Outlook, Teams, Office 365 etc). We can also help you find information for your assignments. This includes helping you find relevant resources (books + eBooks) We're also here to help you with using your Learning Centre (printing, using the computers etc)!   • Do I need to book a PC?
    This answer depends on the college you are studying at. At Kingston and South Thames, please feel free to sit down on any of the PCs free and start logging in. At Carshalton, you will need to go to the help desk and book a PC (you can also do this online too with Netloan, our computer booking system)
  • How do I login to a college computer?
    To login to one of our computers in college please use your ID number and usual college password. Example: Username: 2008778 Password: Usual College Password
  • How do I reset my password?
    If you are unsure of your password, or would like to change your password, AskLRC are here to help! If you are at college: Please visit your Learning Centre, a member of staff will be able to help you change your password. If you are at home or away from college: Please submit a help ticket here: https://stcg-digital.wixsite.com/asklrchelp/create-ticket and a member of our team will help you.   • What should I include in my new password?
    When choosing a new password, there are certain security requirements your password need to meet. Your password must be 10 characters with a capital letter and have at least one number. Your password cannot include your name (first or surname), ID number or date of birth. Please also avoid common words like "password", "butterfly" etc as this will not work. A good example is something that people would not be able to easily guess.
  • How much print credit do I get?
    You get Ā£10 print credit added on at the beginning of the academic year. You will also get Ā£5 added at February half term. So, in total you will get Ā£15 worth of print credit! For some students you may need to top up your print credit, please call us at 0208 268 3052 and make sure you have your student ID Card and a debit/credit card to pay with on you. A4: Black and White - 5p per sheet Colour - 10p per sheet A3: Black and White - 10p per sheet Colour - 20p per sheet
  • What should I do if I run out of print credit?
    You will need to top up your print credit if you run out. Please call us at: 0208 268 3052. If you are calling us, please make sure you have a debit/credit to pay with on you and your student ID Card. Please note: When accepting a payment over the phone we will need to ask security questions including your post code and your house number. This is for your security.
  • How can I print if I don't have my ID Card?
    If you don't have your student ID Card, you are still able to print off your work! In the username section, please enter your college email address. For the password, please enter the same password you use to login to a college computer. Example: (these will not be your actual login details) Username: 123456@student.stcg.ac.uk Password: Usual College Password
  • How many books can I take out?
    You can take up to 6 books at a time and can keep them for 3 weeks at a time!
  • Can I renew my books online?
    Yes! You can renew your books using our LRC catalogue. Use the link below: http://mertmo.cirqahosting.com/ Under reader code then you can enter your student ID number, you're then able to manage your LRC account. This means if you don't have to wait until you're next at college to renew your loans!
  • What are 'College Systems?'
    Great question! šŸ˜ Your college systems are all the key websites and applications you will need as a student at STCG. These include: Moodle (Open LMS), College Email (Outlook), Teams, Office 365 and much more!
  • How do I login to my college systems?
    To login to Moodle, Outlook, Teams, Office 365 etc please see below: Your username is your college email address, this is your ID number which is printed on your student card followed by '@student.stcg.ac.uk'. Your password is the same password you use to login to a college computer. Example: (these will not be your exact login details) Username: 20087655@student.stcg.ac.uk Password: Usual College password
